One Pot Turkey Chili

This one pot turkey chili gives a healthy dinner spin to a classic comfort food. With a few simple steps, you'll have it ready in no time!

– 1 tablespoon avocado oil – 1 yellow onion 1 cup – 1 bell pepper 1 cup – 1 lb ground turkey – 3 tablespoon chili powder – 2 tablespoon cumin – 2 tablespoon honey – 2 tablespoon tomato paste – 1 tablespoon garlic powder – 1 and ½ teaspoon salt – ½ teaspoon black pepper – 1 and ½ cups water – 1 14 oz can crushed tomatoes – 1 can red kidney beans – 1 7 oz can tomato sauce

INGREDIENTS

Cook the avocado oil and the chopped peppers and onions about 5-8 minutes until softened.

Sauté.

Add the ground turkey. Use a wooden spoon to break the meat into small pieces until cooked through.

Brown.

Stir in the seasonings, tomato paste and honey. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Season.

Stir in the water, crushed tomatoes, beans and tomato sauce and cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Simmer.

Try including: – Sweet Potatoes – Cauliflower – Zucchini – Butternut Squash – Carrots – Broccoli – Spinach (Stir it in to wilt in the last 5 minutes) – Mushrooms
