Sourdough French Toast

Weekend breakfasts just got even better with this easy sourdough French toast recipe. The perfect way to use up your thick slices of leftover sourdough bread, garnish with all of your favorite toppings for a delicious breakfast treat that the whole family will love!

– 4 slices sourdough – 2 eggs – ⅔ cup coconut milk – 1 tablespoon maple syrup – ½ tablespoon vanilla – 1 teaspoon cinnamon

INGREDIENTS

In a large shallow dish (I like to use a pie plate), whisk together the eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla and cinnamon.

Make custard.

Dunk the stale bread into the egg mixture for 10-15 seconds per side.

Dip Bread.

Let the French toast cook for 2-4 minutes per side until lightly golden brown on a heated griddle or skillet.

Cook.

Garnish with your favorite toppings.

Serve.
