Oat Flour Apple Crisp

Indulge in the cozy flavors of autumn with this irresistible Apple Crisp made with oat flour. This comforting dessert gets made with a gluten-free twist and is full of cinnamon and maple syrup goodness.

Filling – 2 lbs apples chopped – 1 tablespoon maple syrup – 2 teaspoon lemon juice – 1 and ½ teaspoon vanilla extract – 1 and ½ teaspoon cinnamon Crumble Topping – ⅓ cup butter – 1 cup large flake rolled oats – ½ cup oat flour – ¼ cup brown sugar – 1 teaspoon cinnamon – ¼ teaspoon fine sea salt

Combine the apples, maple syrup, lemon juice, vanilla and cinnamon. This can be done right in the baking pan to save a dish.

Melt the butter in a medium bowl. Add the remaining topping ingredients and mix until well combined. The mixture will be crumbly.

Make it Dairy Free and Vegan- Substitute coconut oil for the butter in the recipe. Add Nuts- Add a generous handful of raw chopped nuts, such as walnuts, almonds, or pecans, to the oat topping for added crunch and flavor.
