Prepare the pizza crust and pizza sauce. Preheat your oven to 475 °F and place a stone in the centre if using.
Make the beef and onion mixture. Add the beef, onions, salt and pepper to a skillet over medium heat and stir often to to break up the beef. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes until the beef is browned and the onions are tender and lightly caramelized.
Set the beef mixture aside to cool slightly and roll out your pizza dough.
Assemble the pizzas. To each crust, add ¼ cup of sauce, ¾ cup of the beef and onion mixture and top with 1 and ½ cups of shredded cheese.
Bake. Carefully transfer your pizza to the oven and bake for 9-11 minutes until the crust is lightly browned and the cheese is melted and golden.
Remove from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool slightly. Bake remaining pizzas.
Slice and serve!
