So you have a loaf of sourdough bread and you're wondering what to do with it? Not a problem! Whether you're looking for something other than sandwiches to make or a scrumptious handheld, you can't go wrong with any of these recipes!

I'm spoiled. My Mom makes the best sourdough bread. And she shares it with me.

So I almost always have a loaf hanging around in the pantry or the freezer.

Which means, I have come up with all sorts of delicious ways to put it to good use! And today, I am sharing those ideas with you.

Breakfast

While you truly can't beat a slice of toasted sourdough with a smear of local honey or your favorite toast toppings, these other breakfast ideas are worthy ways to use your bread as well!

Breakfast Casserole
A spin on breakfast strata, this egg casserole can be scaled up or down, made ahead and is perfect for the next time you host brunch. While it is written to use croutons, stale sourdough bread also works! And it can also be customized to include your favorite vegetables and breakfast meats.

Sourdough French Toast
Sourdough bread makes for delicious French toast! For best results, use slightly stale bread and set it out the night before to allow it to dry out. Top your toast with butter, berries, syrup and more for a delicious start to the day.

Side Dishes

Sourdough can also be put to use to make a side for any meal- from a fancy roast chicken dinner to a simple summer BBQ.

Sourdough Stuffing
With a few simple steps, learn to make a classic stuffing (well technically, "dressing") with a sourdough twist. Keep it easy by making it entirely on the stovetop, use the baking method to achieve a crispy top or make it in the slow cooker to free up oven space.

Sourdough Croutons
Turn leftover sourdough bread into something spectacular with this homemade sourdough croutons recipe. Include different seasonings for all sorts of variations.

Garlic Toast with Sourdough
Arguable the "G.O.A.T." of side dishes, garlic bread is amazing with pretty much anything! And using your favorite sourdough loaf imparts the best flavor and texture.

Sandwiches

Making a sandwich is a task I don't take lightly. And the first step to making a great sandwich is starting with great bread. (And the second step is choosing a delicious and healthy sandwich spread).

And it doesn't get any better than a quality loaf of sourdough!

Sourdough Grilled Cheese
Get ready for what might be the best grilled cheese you've ever had! Using your favorite sourdough loaf and (a minimum) two types of cheese, it has the best flavor and texture.

Sourdough Breakfast Sandwich
Filled with bacon, cheese and an array of vegetables, this sourdough breakfast sandwich is a great way to start the day! Hearty and satisfying, it comes together in a matter of minutes and only uses one skillet.

BLT Sandwich
Make your classic BLT even better with sourdough. Perfect for a quick lunch or a light dinner, my version of a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich features a few simple upgrades (and a better spread than mayo) that might just make it the best BLT you've ever eaten!
